Dedicated Internet Access is Different From Commercial Broadband Service:
Committed Speeds — a dedicated circuit will have a dedicated amount of speed provided. This is not available for general commercial broadband services.
Service Level Agreement (SLA) — there is a written agreement to describe the service level of the connection
Static Public IP Address — this is like a telephone number, but for the Internet. The IP address is the same for the life of the connection.
Symmetric — the download and upload speeds are the same. Services delivered over coaxial cable are typically asymmetric, where the upload speed is typically 1/10 of the download speed.
